The Suburb Woman
The Suburb Woman
The Suburb Woman started as a joke several years ago - the antithesis to the Pioneer Woman - a fellow Oklahoman who I fight bouts of jealousy of while I'm certain we'd be fantastic friends.

It's took me 40 years to learn to embrace my introvertedness, to understand boxing gloves are not always necessary, ADD can be used to your advantage, and life is what we make of it.

My world is my kids, friends, music, food, writing, photography, traveling, reading, pulling weeds and have been known to "dance it out" a time or two. My world isn't perfect, but it's mine and writing/blogging helps me live outside myself when crowds/people/conversation is uncomfortable.

My most difficult, but life-altering journey was traveled with my late husband Michael as he fought a 20-month courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiform (Brain Cancer). Just when I thought the world as I knew it had ended, my second chapter began with a beautiful blessing of Robert and two additional children. Together, we live in the suburbs, have four kids, four dogs, three cats, a dove and a fish.
